Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer industrial control systems
- Create AutoCAD drawings using AutoCad electrical following established standards
- Develop application specific software configurations and PLC/HMI programs
- In-house testing and field commissioning of systems as required
- Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning and operation of control systems
- Provide technical support and field service as required
- Write specifications, schedules, technical reports and budgets
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education from an accredited Canadian college or university
- Minimum of 5 years experience with drives and PLC’s in an industrial environment
- Extensive knowledge in PLC/HMI programming in OMRON, ALLEN BRADLEY and MODICON
- Experience with SCADA
- Experience with ABB and FANUC robot programming
- Experience with AUTOCAD Electrical
- Extensive knowledge of VFD and Servo control applications and industrial processes
- Strong computer skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willing to travel
- Must have own vehicle
- Experience in the food industry A MUST
- Progression to managerial position is possible - management experience is an asset

Job Description:
- On site installation/troubleshooting of control systems
- Commissioning and Troubleshooting of PLC controls
- Read, interpret, and revise schematic drawings and documentation
- Wiring of control panels and cables
- Reading electrical and layout drawings
- Travelling to customer sites
- Overtime & occasional weekend work
Required Skills:
- Must have a valid Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A or 309A)
- Knowledge of the current Electrical Code and industrial power distribution systems
- Experienced in PLC and VFD programming, robot programming an asset
